Micaiah Ministries is looking for adults and youth who desire to minister to kids in crisis.  This exciting trip will include opportunity to assist in the Second Annual Youth Camp for kids in crisis, orphanage ministry, ministry to street kids, ministry at a children's hospital and ministry at Restoration House.  Also included will be opportunity for sightseeing in the beautiful city of Saint Petersburg, Russia.  Find out more information by clicking the picture above.

Restoration House was filled with approximately 30 youth on Christmas day.   Thanks to all of our partners, young people in crisis were able to enjoy lots of good food, music, games, fellowship, gifts, drama and the message of the birth of Jesus Christ.  The many staff and volunteers loved on them and told them to consider Restoration House to be more than a place for a meal and a shower, but rather to consider this their home.  Several have decided to stay and we are rejoicing believing God for a breakthrough and restoration in their lives.

You can see that there were many more young ladies with us this year.  The growing crisis on the streets is that there are more and more youth between the ages of 16 and 21 who have been forced to live on the streets after being released from the orphanages because they have no skills.  Our research reveals that 5% of these youth will be dead within just five years of their release from the orphanages and 90% will end up either on the streets, in prison, addicted to drugs, alcohol or prostitution.  They are trying to survive but they don't, because many end up infected with HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis and Tuberculosis.

You can help us make a difference this year by making monthly contributions.

We must purchase property and build a home for the girls.  Their lives are being destroyed by life on the streets and we must do our part to make a difference.  Each time they see us they ask, "Why can't I come to live with you?"  There are a couple of places that we try to get them to go to for help, but because they are strangers to them, it is difficult to convince them to seek the help.  Our hearts break each time that we have to turn another young lady away.

We need business men and woman to make large contributions, churches to make us part of their monthly missions giving, and individuals to give each month a gift large or small.  If each one will do their part this year, we can build a place for these girls and save more lives.  Click to make a donation.  Click to see Pictures

Salt and Light Wins Emmy Award for

 Advanced Media Documentary

For the promotional film it created for

 Micaiah Ministries

On Saturday evening, December 5, The Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences presented the prestigious award during it's annual award dinner in Orlando, Florida. Emmy Awards have been presented by the Academy since 1949 to recognize excellence in television and advanced media programming.

The Micaiah Ministries video, which dipicts the hands-on efforts of the United States based ministry to change the lives of street children in Saint Petersburg, Russia, earned the award in the category of Advanced Media Documentary.

The award is one of the highest honors that can be earned for television and advanced media programming. "This is a great validation of our efforts to tell the stories of non-profit organizations that are making a difference here and around the world, and to tell those stories with excellence" said Don Gangnagel, Senior Producer for Salt and Light Productions.

As a project of The Center for Faith and Freedom, Salt and Light Productions has been serving the non-profit community since 1989 with its multi-media and video production capabilities. "Our organization is once again grateful to be recognized for our commitment to excellence," noted Founder and President Stuart J. Roth. "We are dedicated to helping those less fortunate and sometimes overlooked members of society by sharing their stories and testimonies with the community. Our goal is to help inspire and encourage charities by equipping them with the necessary multi-media tools to communicate their message and vision to donors, program recipients and community leaders."
